Fabric Coasters Way back when, I did a post about these cute fabric coasters I made as a Christmas present. It was such an easy and fast project and took almost no fabric [ stash buster! ] that I thought it was high time for a tutorial.I originally used batting for the inner layer of softness, but this time I tried felt since I thought it would be a more familiar material for a broader range of sewers. I used eco-felt, a
material made from recycled plastic bottles. Any kind of felt would work, or any kind of batting. I bet polar fleece would work too, but I haven't tried it yet.
These Fabric Glass Coasters are sure to please anyone. They are meant to be for any glass or cup to keep liquid off your tables. I use mine all the time and it adds a flair of home and country look to it. These stacked up as a group of six tied up with a ribbon are great to add into any gift basket or just as a personal gift or could be used as a stocking stuffer as small as they are.
Fabric Coaster supply list. Scissors with zig zag look ( or any scissors that have a certain edging you like ) Any Cotton fabric like what is used for quilting. You will need a top look and a bottom look for fabric.I use like a design(snowman's,any animal, picture fabric for top, then a base color for bottom.
